I am The Mighty Geek and I have a camera.

I’ve spent the last ten years lugging that camera around with me whenever I went anywhere, from the corner grocery store, to a foreign city halfway around the world. After all that time, after all the thousands of pictures, the most important lesson I think I’ve learned was the difference between taking a picture and making a photograph. And for me, the difference is that people take pictures all the time, and taking a picture will only mean something to the few people directly involved. But a photograph isn’t taken, it’s made. Deliberately and intentionally. And, if done correctly, making a photo will speak to people in a way a picture never will.

I sincerely hope my photographs will speak to you.
