P.S. I had sushi today :D

I asked my mother whether sushi has gluten in it remembering your conversation with fa. It never occured to me that it did, and when I asked my mother she seemed kinda lost, my brother too. To us “gluten” sounds like fat, and sushi is well-known as a low in fat course. Rice usually doesn’t have gluten. I guess it’s just because we usually eat the raw fresh stuff without all the other fancy sauces. Just started looking up sushi and gluten on the net, they say some wasabi is suspectful, but real wasabi isn’t.

gluten comes from wheat, barley, rye and oats….
soy sauce usually contains gluten unfortunately….
i think wasabi does also…but there are some places that are aware about gluten as coeliac disease is becoming a big problem for westerners particularly…...and it’s so nice to occasionally eat some gluten free sushi!!
