Love this Mieke, thought I recognised the street. You always seem to find an interesting angle. What did you manipulate to image with
Hi Dharna :) Thank you!I did a few things… I might not be able to remember everything, but I definitely did the following: basic editing (slight crop, curves, sharpening), then desaturated everything except the blues/cyans, and then CS6 has an awesome new “filter” called Oil Paint, which I mucked around with until I liked the result! :)

I recognized the street alright, but I’ve never seen anything like the treatment before, Mieke. Extraordinary! From your visit to Melbourne and SITHOM I guess. I’m furious I missed that. Next time you’re down be sure to contact us again.
Ah, don’t beat yourself up too much, Rhoufi – this is actually from my trip to Melbourne at Christmas time :)But yes – I promise that if there’s a chance for a coffee/photoshoot next time I’m in Melb, i’ll let you know!!
And you reckon I’m clever? Sheesh. I’ll leave all that manipulation to you, Mieke, and stick to the easy stuff.
=D Fair enough. I’ll leave all that editing to you and stick to the easy stuff!!!!
Very interesting treatment, Mieke – looks great!
Works well, and I love the subdued melbourne tones, even if it was Christmas!
Thanks, Mel :)
Superb work Mieke, love your treatment!
Thank you, Chris!! :)
Thanks Bernd =D
very nice work Mieke
Thanks, Anthony! Glad you like this one :)
Thanks Mieke, much appreciated. On your next trip to Melbourne (Victoria) I, as would many others, like to get together.
It’s such a shame you couldn’t make it to this last get-together!! But yes, next time, hopefully we’ll be able to make it happen :)
