An amazing reef nestled amongst the islands in Bardi country at the tip of the Dampier Peninsula, Western Australia. This reef is one of the highest in the area, and when there’s a particularly low tide, it is entirely exposed. As the water rises, it rushes over the edge of the reef, creating a magificent cascade several hundred metres long. I stood on the ocean floor with my tripod to take this photo :) The B&W photo of this reef can be seen here
Thanks heaps to the Bardi boys who took Jonathan and me out on their boat to see this amazing spectacle… and who chose not to tell me there was a shark swimming nearby until I got back in the boat!!!
