Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

I’ve actually never seen a photo taken from the top of a sand dune looking down… so (ever the thrill-seeker), I stood as close as I could to the edge without causing the entire dune to collapse under my weight, and looked down… what an awesome sight!!!

beautifully abstract shot. the odd perspective certainly makes you stop and really look at the shot!

It’s great when you get to the top isn’t it. I struggled (and it was very hard going in the powdery sand – 2 steps forward to one backward) to close to the top of a giant 150m high dune in the Sahara but didn’t get anything like the variation in colours and textures you have here. Just wonderful.

  • Thanks heaps, Peter!! I was so excited… I was running (literally – despite the 40 degree heat!) all over the place trying to capture as many different angles as I could before the light went. I had so much fun!!

You can keep the 40 deg heat Mieke. That’s not fun but the photography is. If I had been there though i would have been joining you. By comparison the sahara desert was pleasantly cool and if anything too cold :-)

  • The best thing about it is that it was literally just off the highway. So accessible! Thanks again, Peter :)
