Went on a little adventure with Lori, Thorpey and Jo (aka Mrs Thorpey) and my mum last week to Nambung National Park (where the Pinnacles are) near Cervantes, Western Australia. We also went on a few side trips, and one of them was to Lancelin for sunset, where we scrambled on and around sand dunes for a few hours as the colours just went nuts all around us! It was AWESOME. Thanks so much, Lori, Thorpey and Jo – it was an absolute pleasure to share your company and expertise!!

Love the blue tones to this one and the comp too. What a great day you must have had.

  • Thanks, Kathy! We spent five days exploring, all up, and it was amazing. We were so lucky that there wasn’t a lot of wind… and the sky even put on a show for us too! (Not in this photo, but in others…) Lots of fun in between shoots too… Don’t know whether you’ve met Thorpey & Jo or Lori, but they’re terrific company!!

Hard to pick a winner Mieke, guess this does it for me,here I can see you lying on your belly again to get the best composition :):) I wonder what you will show us next from your trip as it can’t get much better then this…..or ??

  • Yep – spent a lot of time on my belly for these ones!! I hope this isn’t the best, Hans… I’m heading to France later this year, but I’ll have to get my camera back in working order if I’m going to get any good shots there!… :) :) :)

All most thought it was snow from the colour and reflection :) bet it was fun to walk though.

  • It was HARD to walk through! My quads ached after the third dune visit… But it was worth it! I actually ran down the face of one of the dunes… and yeah, that was pretty cool ;)
