4 photo panoramic stitch (cropped) – please view large!

Another from my sunset photo shoot with John Conway and Hans Kawitzki at Dog Rocks in Batesford (Victoria, Australia). This is the view looking away from the iconic tree. One of the few times it paid off to carry ALL my lenses around in one backpack (the rest of the time it’s just darn heavy!!)

Very nice Mieke, from now on I will take my long lens with me when visiting Dog Rocks again !! guess it takes a “stranger” to this area to see behond the tree………:):)

  • :) :) :) You saw it too, Hans! I doubt very much that you ever miss seeing these things!… I was just fortunate to have the gear on hand :) I look forward to seeing yours next time the light is right =D

I often look at the Barrabool Hills and wish for the “right” light to hit them, DR is a good spot, has a good vantage point and you’ve made the most out of it, like Hans, I’ll be carrying the longer lens in future :)

  • Is that what they’re called? Good name!! Yep – it’s a great vantage point, and I look forward to seeing your photos when that magic light comes ’round again! :)

Lovely Chiarascuro light Mieke, looks great in sepia tonings :-)

  • Thanks, Jenni! I didn’t change the colour at all… this was actually the colour you could see! All I did to this one was stitch, crop, contrast… and I darkened the hills just a little!
