An amazing reef nestled amongst the islands at the tip of the Dampier Peninsula, Western Australia. This reef is one of the highest in the area, and when there’s a particularly low tide, it is entirely exposed. As the water rises, it rushes over the edge of the reef, creating a magificent cascade several hundred metres long. I stood on the ocean floor with my tripod to take this photo :)
Thanks heaps to the Bardi boys who took Jonathan and me out on their boat to see this amazing spectacle.

EDIT: I happily took photos from this vantage point for about ten minutes, then jumped back in the boat. The Bardi boys gleefully pointed at a sharkfin gliding through the water a few hundred metres from where I was standing in the water. Definitely gave me a bit of a scare!!!
