Full Moon Fantasy by Mieke Boynton

It has taken me a while to get around to it, but this is another photo from when Robyn and Mel and I went out to the Dinner Tree (here in Derby) to take photos of the Milky Way… Unfortunately, the almost-full moon kinda made it hard to capture the Milky Way, but we had a lot of fun light-painting the mighty boab with our torches and watching the magic happen!

Special thanks to Mel for helping me with camera settings. She reckons she just bangs about having a go at stuff, but she has a pretty darn good idea of how to do things right!!!

I’m just an Aussie girl who’s a bit mad about photography :)

Wonderful! Talk about making the most of an opportunity. Isn’t it funny how we can set out to take a particular photo and walk away with something completely different than expected, and even more rewarding?

  • Absolutely! But I think that’s what makes photography so exciting… and all art forms for that matter. When you are open to inspiration, wonderful things often happen :)
