It has taken me a while to get around to it, but this is another photo from when Robyn and Mel and I went out to the Dinner Tree (here in Derby) to take photos of the Milky Way… Unfortunately, the almost-full moon kinda made it hard to capture the Milky Way, but we had a lot of fun light-painting the mighty boab with our torches and watching the magic happen!
(I previously uploaded another shot from the same night, but I like this one better, so I’ve deleted it! Sorry if it looks the same!! The previous one can be seen here for comparison)
Special thanks to Mel for helping me with camera settings. She reckons she just bangs about having a go at stuff, but she has a pretty darn good idea of how to do things right!!!

Wonderful! Talk about making the most of an opportunity. Isn’t it funny how we can set out to take a particular photo and walk away with something completely different than expected, and even more rewarding?
Absolutely! But I think that’s what makes photography so exciting… and all art forms for that matter. When you are open to inspiration, wonderful things often happen :)
