Lori and I caught up over the weekend in Perth and I took a bunch of water abstracts… This is the reflection of an orange boat in the water, and the movement is due to a (relatively) slow shutter speed.

beautiful :) reminds me a little of leafy seadragons…
I can kinda ‘get’ that…They’re hidden… and mesmerising… and delicate… and beautiful! Right??

Wow, what a colour! Perfect composition :)
Thank you! I got lucky with a few of them in terms of composition… it’s really difficult to actually compose these shots, because they change so quickly!
Oh wow Mieke, good to see you adding some extra categories to your portfolio ;) This is gorgeous!
I was itching to get some EODs and city shots… but I ended up getting all these gorgeous water/skyscraper reflective abstracts!! :) :) :) Needed a change from Scenic, that’s for sure!
Exactly! The colours and sinuous lines all add to it as well…
:) Thanks, Dieter!!
Mieke? You`ve actually captured a sleeping mermaid. How cool is THAT ??!!As water abstracts go, it just doesn`t get much groovier than this!!
Awww… a sleeping mermaid! Wow, I’m so lucky… and I had no idea!! =DThanks heaps, BB. I’m glad you think it’s groovy!;)
I really love the contrasting colours, what exactly is it?
Thanks, Angela! If I remember correctly, I think this was the edge of a boat reflected in the water. I took so many photos though… I’m not sure now!!
Thanks, Evelina!! :) :) :)
That is beautiful – wish I could have come :-)
:) :) :)Sorry, Kymie… Next time I’m sure I’ll be in town for longer, and I’ll be more organised… it was a last minute thing! :)
