My dog, Banjo – the most awesomest dog in the whole world :)

My friends refer to him as my “angel dog” because he arrived when he was most needed, and is absolutely devoted to me. If you look really closely, I’m actually reflected in both eyes :) :) :)

Taken with my trusty Kodak Easyshare M1033

he’s smiling at you, mieke! great capture with that cracked mud – really great!

  • He’s such a happy dog… always! Oh, unless I’m washing him with tic shampoo… he HATES that! That’s when he starts digging holes :(

    Hi Banjo, nice doggie :-)

  • He’s nice… unless you’re the other side of my fence and he doesn’t know you!!! :)

Like the smile, and a great name for him. Bet he’s a right character.
    Great pic from an Easyshare!!!

  • He came with the name, but it suits him perfectly. And as I’ve been reciting Banjo Paterson’s poetry for years… well, he was just destined to become my best mate!! My Easyshare has taken a fair few good pics actually – not a bad little compact :)

That’s a great shot Mieke, and it’s so good to see a dog named after an iconic Australian poet too :))

  • That’s what I thought when I heard about him! I really didn’t want a dog, but after the break-in in October, everyone else wanted me to have a dog… and he was just always meant to be mine, I think! His name was the reason I brought him home for a ‘trial run’… and he’s never left my side since :) :) :) (oh, except when I went to Karijini for the photography workshop and he was home alone for 10 days and I guess he thought I was never coming back… it took me fifteen minutes to settle him down when I got home because he was absolutely beside himself with joy. I will never ever do that to him again!!)

Awww what a cutie! Love the texture of the dried mud – makes for an interesting backdrop to an interesting perspective :)

  • Thanks, Helen!

One happy pooch! cracked mud effect splendid!

  • :) :) :) He’s a happy pooch, and I’m a happy cat-lover! Funny that… I NEVER thought I’d own a dog before having a cat…
I have few more cracked mud shots from that day… I should probably go back and have a look at that folder…
    Thanks, L.E.!

I like your tags – bitsa and awesome. Plus you tag yourself. That could confuse a few people if they search for you and Banjo appears without them reading about the reflection. :)
He has healthy gums by the way. You must be a good mum.

  • I don’t mind :) He’s a good-looking dog!
Tee hee hee… I do kinda spoil him a bit. He really likes those massive bones you can get that they cut in two lengthways… When he looks at you with those eyes, it’s hard to resist spoiling him!
