One of the things I enjoy most about photography is the time I get to myself… to just be. Sometimes I even put my camera down for a while and just watch and listen and let the atmosphere and beauty of my surrounds sink into my bones. It is in these moments that I feel most connected to this amazing Earthly world of ours, and it’s when I express gratitude most sincerely for where I am placed within it.
Sometimes I am so caught up in putting my face behind the camera’s viewfinder that I miss it altogether. Which is why I find it equally enjoyable to sit at my computer, really looking at the photos I took, and noticing the details that I was often too preoccupied to notice at the time.
