super tonality. looks like a pretty rugged and wild environment. very well captured.

  • It’s rugged… but that’s part of the beauty of the place. You feel as though nothing here has been affected by ‘Westernised’ humankind in the 200 years we’ve been living on this continent … it’s so special!

This looks great in black and white Mieke, the water just looks so divine

  • Thank you, Stuart. I did this one in colour first, but because of the quality of the light in the gorge at that time of the morning, everything looked pink! And because there had been so much rain, the water was a kucky yellow colour… so B&W was the logical solution ;) ;)

The b& w really looks amazing, so sharp and there is enough tons between the water & rock textures to read all the planes and depths !! Love how the wild grasses came out, like flimsy hair tops lol

  • Thank you, Iwona… and I agree – the grass tufts do look like ‘hair’!! :)
