I just returned home after the most unbelievably fantastic photography workshop at Karijini National Park, in the Pilbara (Western Australia). It was conducted by Tony Hewitt, Christian Fletcher and Peter Eastway… and I learned so much!!! The three of them are all outstanding photographers and terrific teachers and I had an absolute blast!
This photo is taken in Hancock Gorge, at a place called “The Amphitheatre” – the place where you gather your nerves to journey down the Spider Walk :)

Not easy to make this place look as good as it does in real life… but at least you get the idea :)
There was a lot more water in the gorges this time as we’ve had a pretty wet Wet Season… it made all the waterfalls VERY pretty!

Wow, what a beautiful waterfall! I just love the deep rich colors of the stone surrounding it and the perfect silky smoothness of the water rushing over. Excellent exposure! This trip and workshop sure gave you wonderful results!

Great composition and use of filters, another great shot!
Thanks, Bernhard! I only used the Circular Polariser for this one… It makes a big difference, for sure, both in the colour and being able to see ‘through’ the water. Glad you like this one too!
