Oooohhhh…. scary storm Mieke!!! What a beauty…. how wet did you get, I imagine not long after this photo??Brilliant photography! :)
Thanks, Vicki. It hit us about four minutes later and it was incredible! We were instantly surrounded by a wall of water =D Two of us sprinted and kinda made it back to the car, wet but not drenched… the woman in this shot wasn’t so lucky :S

Wow, that’s a whole lot of angry sky! Very nice capture of it.
Thanks, Joe! :)
This moment captures so many stories from the mood of the sky to the brilliance of water and earth to the innocence of a photographer to the hope of lingering touches of sun… where to begin??? A picture really is worth a thousand words! Lovely job Mieke.
What a lovely comment, Sylvia! Thank you!! I’m glad it conveys the entire story :)
A stunning shot here, love the colours, well done!
Thanks heaps, Eric!! Glad you like it :)
The same storm? The colour is spectacular :-)
Yep! Same storm – I’ve put the other one up underneath it so you can compare :)It was a ripper!!!
Whoa, that’s even more impressive in colour!
I’m glad you like my compositions, Terry :) And I agree – ‘dramatic’ is certainly the word for that sky!!
Wonderful image Mieke, great clouds!
Thanks, Phillip! The lighting conditions were a bit challenging, but I seem to have captured the ‘gist’ of the scene! :)
A fantastic shot Mieke. Beautiful contrasting colours and the person adds another dimension to the pic.
Thanks, John! :)
Goodness, that sky is amazing. The person in the bottom of the frame really puts it into perspective – wow!!
