The Twisted Lakes with Little Horn in the background. Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania, Australia.

Claire and Mark took me up for a terrific walk up to the Twisted Lakes to check out what the Fagus was doing before the Fagus Week officially began. The change in colour between that Friday and the following one was astounding… as was the change in the weather ;)

Mark took me to this wonderful little ‘corner’ of the lake with this fantastic view of Little Horn… Thank you, Tinnie!!

Gorgeous Mieke, I would have loved to see it like this.

  • Ah well, next year ;)
Thanks Garth. It’s a shame we didn’t get one more clear day so we could all get some beautiful reflection shots… but then we wouldn’t be quite so keen to go back!!!

Great capture, Mieke. It is one of my most favourite of places, and I have hiked the area many times. (before I had a decent camera ). Looks like I’ll have to go back. This is the best time of the year for it, with the Fagus changing colour.

  • It was fantastic, Vince!! If you can swing it to be there this time next year, I highly recommend it. The best thing is that it’s not like other workshops… if you want to go on a hike in a group – then great! If you want to spend the day exploring by yourself – awesome! And plenty of space for everyone… :)

Mieke, this is the sort of image you should get printed on metallic and to do it justice a large size like 30″ × 20″.

  • Thank you, Charles!!
