Not that you can tell where this is, but I’m standing at Gantheaume Point looking out across the ocean (the Indian Ocean) with Cable Beach to my right.

– Mieke Boynton
Thanks, Cindy! Glad it was out there and not any closer… ;)
Excellent capture Mieke!
Thank you, Željko!
Ominous, powerful and beautiful Mieke!
Thank you, Kent!!
Thanks, Rick! It’s my first real lightning shoot… I was stoked that I caught a double!!
WOW!!!!! This is soooo awesome, Mieke!!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Laurie!!! I heard that “wow” all the way from here!!
Oh this is just awesome Mieke, just freakin’ awesome. Without the lightning this would be a brilliant shot with the ripples of texture in the clouds and the sweeps of rain over the sea but the lightning just elevates it from brilliant to awesome :)
:) :) :) :) Thank you so much, Stuart!!!
Oooooowaaaaaaaaa! Is an appropriate description, I think. I wrote a story about a young bloke who offered the local priest, an elderly bloke, a ride on the back of his motorcycle. At the end of the trip, the young bloke asked the priest what he thought of it, and the priest said, “That’s a first for me. I’ve never recited the entire Rosary inside a helmet before.” Yes, Mieke, there is a God out there… and a scary one at that!
I like Oooooowaaaaaaaaaa! And I like your story. But I didn’t feel in any danger… it was a fair way offshore ;)
Great catch Mieke, looks good in mono
Thanks, Hans! That’s the natural colour… there is actually some mauve and some blue in there, but I can see how you might interpret it as a mono. Hope you and Gretel are well and happy!
