Just a super-quick note to remind people that “Fagus Week” – our RedBubbler week of fun, friendship and photography at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania is on again in April. This will be the fifth Fagus Week for the fabulous Tinnieopener, the delightful ClaireBear and intrepid explorer Rob Mullner
I had so much fun last year … and I’m thrilled that most of the regular RedBubble “family” are returning again… but I’m equally excited that we’ll be joined by Bubblers from as far afield as the Cocos (Keeling) Islands… and the USA!!
We’ll of course be hoping that Tinnie has timed it right for the “Turning of the Fagus” when the native deciduous beech tree (the Fagus) changes colour from green to yellow to orange to red and changes the colour of the entire mountainside. It’s truly spectacular to see.
If anyone’s considering travelling to Tassie in April (or they’re already there), I’d strongly recommend that you join us for a day or the week… but you WILL need to book your accommodation VERY soon. Have a quick read of Tinnie’s Journal here and please get in touch with Claire or ring the Discovery Holiday Park in Cradle Mountain to make arrangements!!
Here are just a few of my favourites from last year to convince you (if you need convincing!!)… and you can read last year’s journal here
