Ronald Wigman
Oh, then he is playing Chopin or Philip Glass?
Midori Furze replied
Hi, Ronald!
I was listening to Beethoven’s piano sonata when I started this painting. It is called “Appassionata”. ( No.23 Op57 )
It is in F minor. : )))))
Beethoven is cool!!
He rocks you!
This piece was soooooooooooo different than any other music that time, you were not allowed to perform in front of the young ladies!!
Cailean
I love how the piano is wrapping around her, she’s fully part of the music, enmeshed within it. She’s now a part of it, and it’s a part of her. The red is beautiful, like rich red velvet and contrasts nicely with the blue. The greys add to the winter tone and give contrast to both primaries.
The pianist could be seen as saturnine – but I prefer to think of him as impassioned. He is totally within the music that he even ignores the woman. The music is all. Everything else is of lesser consequence.
