A piece of religious artwork bearing the following scriptural text, which has long been a favourite of mine:-
“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (St. Matthew 24:31 [King James Authorized Version of the Holy Bible]). The background to the picture is the spire of the Preston Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, near Chorley, Lancashire, England, UK. The statue of the angel is made of base metal overlaid with gold and is not, as many have imagined, made of solid gold! The picture without the text is available upon request.
