A huge ship taking up half of the floor space in an Exhibition of Knitting at the Customs House, South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England, UK. When South Shields was closed as a port, tthe Customs House was converted into a multiplex of cinema, theatre, restaurant, art gallery and exhibitions space. It gives the town a great deal of cultural character and is large enough for the needs of the community. Larger cinemas, etc, exist elsewhere, but you don’t get a wonderful view of the Tyne lit up at night, when you walk out of their doors!

All work displayed in my RB accounts is professional, but many of these pictures are available for free desktop wallpaper and screensavers from my Webshots account – kathjones100. The resolution is good enough to display well on a computer screen, but not for printing. For this you need RedBubble!

Fabulous shot, I wonder how long it took them to do this.

  • Thank you, Ralph. Not sure whether it was the work of one person or several. I would have thought that the latter is more likely.

  • Thank you, Judy. Glad that I was not the one who had to knit it, though!

Thanks for sharing this unusual sight.

  • Thank you, Trish.
