My First piece of 2009, yikes half way through the year, its about time! Oh it felt great to finally Create! This portrait is made in pencil on bristol board paper.
This piece was inspired by my own deep beliefs, obviously highly symbolic. Eve in the garden receiving her gift from the ‘serpent’, the gift of true knowledge….
This is the finished pencil piece, I have more in store for this piece and I can not wait to mix my fractal art and more effects in photo shop, so stay tuned I have many more esoterically and spiritually inspired art work manifesting in the far corners of my mind :)

I think that the story of Adam and Eve is very relevant to modern times. I feel that humanity is becoming ever more shallow and ignorant. Also that this ignorance is making us more insecure and dissatisfied with life. This in turn is creating more violence. So perhaps wisdom or at least a passion to access wisdom could be the salvation for relationship and humanity.

I could not agree with your more my friend, very well put, today;s society is lacking terrible, and that void is creating all the tension and unhappiness and dis-ease….I think that people need more out of this mundane day to day existence…tapping into yourself, tapping into the wisdom of all that is and all that was, and an inner push to become something more….in this depiction of Eve, the serpent is the Kundalini rising, the apple is the wisdom of mastering the creative energies, that the kunalini (cosmic energy of creation) has to offer….
