My little One
Come to me my little one and let me hold you close.
Let me whisper of my great love for you. One day I’ll tell you a story of a life lived long ago . . . about your beloved great grandma who lived in a world so strange and remote, yet, true.
I’ll go back in time to bare feet and feather- beds, dirt roads and chicken coops, warm milk coming from cows in barns, water from deep wells, home-made clothes and houses without paint.
Yes, one day you will hear her story.
I know great grandma would love you, dear Kathy
Telling my baby her first story, tears welled up in my eyes as I reached down and softly kissed her forehead.
