For a long time I’ve been creating art mainly for the purpose of enjoyment. The more I think about it, creating art has been sort of a journey. Most of the time I have a sense of direction in my art. Other times I’m not quite sure where I’m headed, but I have faith that I am on the right path. I feel as though each of my paintings will lead me onto newer and better things in the future. I am always exploring new ways in my creativity which keeps my mind and spirit stimulated.
I also do volunteer work with a great organization located in Vietnam. It’s called Maison Chance, which was created in 1993 by Aline Rebeaud, a young Swiss artist. It is the outcome of her personal commitment to the most disadvantaged sector of society in Vietnam. She was given the nickname “Tim” which means heart in Vietnam. Please read about her and the organization here and you will see why I am very much dedicated to this cause. I was called on to help with the United States chapter and work on building their webste in oder to reach out to the American people. Please visit the website by going to www.maison-chance.us
I currently live in Seattle and enjoy traveling. In 2005 I went on a backpacking trip throughout Europe. And I recently visited the country of Vietnam, which was an amazing trip. What’s next on my journey? Who knows? I will keep my eyes wide open and my heart centered on this path we call life.
All the best,
Michael
