At The End Of The World
lay where you are, it’s will be so long till light
there’s nothing out there, still the bad moon rises
your story sounds like gold dust blown off a mountain top
when you wake in the first hours it’s only frost that you breathe
and there’s an aching chill in here
and you panic to cling to warmth
and there’s no one left in this place
and you feel there’s nothing left to do…for you
oh no what have you done..this…...time
there’s a million starts inside…your ..mind
and the air was cold that night..
you would still feel like home
you purify the good times, will you pass it round this time
there’s a pair of lonely eyes that stare into her night
why wonder what she’s wondering, it makes you forget
will the outside try to understand you if you prove yourself
and there’s an aching chill in here
and you panic to cling to warmth
and there’s no one left in this place
and you feel there’s nothing left to do…for you
oh no what have you done..this…...time
there’s a million starts inside…your ..mind
and the air was cold that night..
you would still feel like home

I sat in the car with my mate for about 20 mintues with our fingers in the heater trying to get rid of the frost nip, then it was a long way home but not before stopping for some good Fish n Chips first.

Michael Walters replied

Steve Chapple
This one creates an almost haunting feeling. Quite brooding and dramatically outstanding.
“Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art. “ ~Ambrose Bierce
Michael Walters replied
It really felt quite haunting being there, silence and looking off to some unknown place that seemed to stretch forever, was quite strange.
I love that quote too, it’s what I’ve said to a few people asking me for advice and “rules” of photography.
Jim Robertson
So good to see you guys getting cold for a change :)) Really nice image Mike. Did you use a grad. for this?
Michael Walters replied
haha, yeah whats with that? doesn’t seem right:) Gald you like it Jim.
Ummm yeah i don’t think so, i put the grad on but think it was a little after this when the sun started having more impact, i remember looking at this shot when i took it and thought i didn’t need the grad, conditions were perfect.
