Passing Days

walk outside where the closing day says it don’t want to go
raise your eye to the sky again and it would never look the same
you breathe in the lonely air walk around in an empty shell
and you couldn’t make up answers that run down your cheek

now here your counting out the questions
now here your sorting what moves the time
and this feels like…..i don’t know
but they all sound the same

slip inside the suns reprise and the colours seem to come to life
raise a glass to an empty room so they couldn’t see the progress
the faces still look the same and you think they see you that way
it rains lonely down on this sick town and they drink it in days by day

now here your counting out the questions
now here your sorting what moves the time
and this feels like…..i don’t know
but they all sound the same

This is great Michael. I like it so much better than the other one with this tree in it. In the other one I would have actually cloned the tree out of the pic but this one I like it because of the tree. Great shot. A fave for me.

Superb photo Mike. I love the tones, and the shadows in this one. That tree is great. Of the two, I prefer this one…but both are fantastic.

Thanks so much for that James, I kind of think it’s hard to compare the two shots as they offer different views, this one the tree is more of the major subject and stands out more so it is stronger while the other one it’s more of a leading detail to take through to the sunset, for depth. Glad you like both mate, cheers.

when you said you went down to your fave tree, WOW michael, this is so brimming over with the colours of desire and perfection in my eyes, you’ve got rocks & trees and the soft dusk light to boot!! AND,,,,, as if that’s not enough, you top it off with the magic of your music once again. These lyrics echo the silence like the trees’ long fingered limbs reaching to the skies. There is sadness there, yet you show it with a clarity, sincerity and understanding that most people would fail to notice. My favourite line is ‘answers that run down your cheek’. you are nothing short of AWESOMENESS!!!
