South West
Spent two days on the Tarn Shelf in Freezing conditions. Base camp was a little hut half way up the mountain. The first day was a short hike and had to deal with extreme snow storm, constant hard freezing wilds and sheets of mist blowing across the mountain. The next day was a seven and a half hour hike up and down boulders and in between glaciers, mountain faces and forest. Feeling a bit rough now but loved it up there. The orange trees growing on the cliff face is Fagus.

Great shot Michael – I’d say the freezing conditions and hard work were definitely worth it!
