As Is Taken with a Fuji Finepix s8000fd, no detachable lenses Point, shoot and Prey camera Set on macro I have put this up to show people how unreliable it is to pick male from female by head shape and size
snake tiger charleen p101nature
Great catch the clarity is excellent.
Cheers for that can you guess male from female
So are you going to tell, or make us guess? :)
Make you guess, cheers mate
I reckon the male is the one with the golden colouring but I’m only quessing.
i cant tell you yet
cool shot – so, which is the female and male?
I’ll say the Male is on the left. :)
OK The male is the one on the left, i shouldnt have put this up with out cropping the rest out and leaving just the heads, people may have remembered the snakes i had posted prior talking about my faves Charleen The Black one, and Luiji (Lew ee gee) thanks to my son Blane he loves to name them. Most say the male has a larger head and the female is dainty.
Boy on the right. Bigger head.. Are they two different species of Tigers? I only ask because the scales on the nose of the one on the left are different. (4 scales as opposed to 2 on the right one)
Sorry Girl on the right.
Well Michael this is as close as I plan on getting to tell the difference. I just love all that I learn from your art. Thank you. Well done on the capture!!!
Thanks Lori i am happy to teach you….. Cheers Mick
I went on colour not anything very fancy really just the fact that often in nature it is the male that is more vibrant and colourful.. (that’ll upset the girls) :)
No probs, it is something that usualy takes place in nature i agree, mostly in dragons an lizards ( talking reptiles only here)
