080706-89 WINTER WILDERNESS
SO, YOU’VE BEEN SITTING THERE IN THE COLD FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WITH YOUR CAMERA SET ON THE TRIPOD, JUST ABSORBING THE SIGHTS, SOUNDS AND EVEN THE SMELL, TASTE, AND FEEL OF THE AIR, ALMOST SPELLBOUND BY EVERYTHING THAT IS THE WOODS IN WINTER.
YOU START FEELING THE CHILL, SO YOU TAKE OUT YOUR THERMOS AND POUR YOURSELF A CUP OF COFFEE. YOU DRINK IT SLOWLY, FEELING THE WARMTH COURSING THROUGH YOUR WHOLE BODY, AND YOU THINK, ” HOW COULD IT POSSIBLY GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS ? “
THEN THIS GUY COMES ALONG AND JUST STANDS THERE POSING FOR YOU.
WOW !!

It doesn’t get much better than this! Great shot! And to think you would have been content with just the scenery and a cup of coffee.
Malte Lenhart

Mike,
your absolutly right, it doesn’t get much better than that.
MICKSPIXPHOTOS replied
Thanks, Scott. It’s the kind of thing someone has to have experienced to understand. I’m glad you’ve been there too.

Amazing photography. Something we would not see here. Beautiful
MICKSPIXPHOTOS replied
Thanks, Ann. The change of seasons here is kind of a double-edged sword. Driving during the winter can be a real pain, and the summer heat and humidity can sometimes be oppresive; on the other hand, though, the change can provide some genuine beauty, and some great photo ops. It’s a good balance.
I’m glad you like the image and I appreciate you taking the time to look and to comment.
