Newborns seem so incredibly fragile and breathtakingly beautiful in all their strange, wrinkly ugliness. They bring out so much tenderness and awe in me… this is just a little self-indulgent, imaginative photoshopping to please my mommy heart. : )
Levi was two weeks old when I took the original image of him, (which was still nearly three weeks before his official ‘due date’) and these are his big brother, Joshua’s hands. Photo manipulation using two of my own images, shot in natural light, edited in Photoshop CS2. Textures are from Lost and Taken
In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.
