This little boy of mine is a delight in so many ways. Sometimes at night he will pad down the passageway to our room, climb into our bed and snuggle in between us. He will wrap his little arms around my neck and whisper in my ear, “I love you SO much, Mommy!” before he falls back to sleep. He constantly reminds me what a privilege it is to be a mother.

In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.
