Inspired by the classic children’s book by Judith Kerr – The Tiger Who Came to Tea. My kids love that book. : )
Hand drawn with felt tip pens and coloured in Photoshop CS2. My daughter, Tane, created some textures for me using coloured paper and oil pastels.

In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.

Thanks, Karen! you’re very kind : ) (although Hudson, 5, says there are too many flowers on the teapot, otherwise he would love to wear it…)

oh how awesome! i love that book too, though wonder if it is a thinly veiled guise on the mother’s behalf to drink all afternoon and make the dad take them out for dinner?
lol! all the water from the tap, too? the little girl in the story, sophie, seems entirely too content and secure for that to be the case… her confidence that all is well radiates from every page : ) Thanks so much for your comment, mellychan!
