Childhood is a Solemn Business by

My son, Hudson (nearly 5), can be very solemn indeed. And then again, sometimes he’s not!

I was feeling all out of sorts and needed to do a portrait… for some reason it makes me happy. ( :

Shot outdoors in natural light, processing and split toning done using Photoshop CS2, Topaz DeNoise also used, textures my own.

In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.
