I was messing around with my camera on Mother’s Day and thought I’d try the lovely cliched coffee-mug-splash idea. Amazingly, this heart just pitched up in one of the splashes… especially wonderful since I was using a heart printed mug. I figure it was put there by God just for me, an extra Mother’s Day gift. ( :

In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.

Thanks, Karen! I did ( : My husband made sure that all the kids ‘earned’ some pocket money in time to do something special… I got chocolate from all of them and cards from some and breakfast in bed, too!!
