In between cooking, shopping, doing laundry, washing dishes, changing nappies and schooling my children I sometimes find a spare moment to doodle, draw or photograph something or someone. Those are the moments that keep me going, even if they are few and far between. Food for the artist mom’s soul.

Lovely and charming pattern…that would look awesome as a scarf, tablecloth, or fabric pattern.

  • Thanks so much, Seth!

I just enlarged this Micklyn – it’s wonderful! It looks like embroidery on fabric. I love the way the pink lines look as though they are raised from the surface, nice work!

  • Thank you so much, Linda!! that is just the look I was going for – embroidery on fabric!! makes me so happy that you think I achieved it! : )

So pretty . . . how do you do this?

  • Hi Kathilee, and thank you! I drew this by hand with a black ink pen and then scanned it in and played with the colours and textures in photoshop, and repeated the basic pattern in photoshop, too. : )
