This is one of those pictures that would probably be better off left in the bottom drawer of my hard drive … not very well composed, out of focus, oddly cropped. But I really felt like sharing it with you anyway. This is why I do what I do. This is the reward for days and weeks and months and years of sleepless nights and sticky fingers and endless laundry and changing nappies. This is why we do it, why a mother gets up every single day and just keeps going. This is one of those countless moments that more than make up for the fatigue, the worry, the very hard work that is being a parent. More than worth it. : )
