Well, actually, in the other one all the kids helped, but in this one I was reshooting because I wasn’t 100% happy with the outcome, and I didn’t want to get them all back, so my son, Josh, set up 2 polystyrene packaging boxes and stuck the spoons in them and hung a black jersey across the back, then he poured the milk for me, too. Gotta love photographic assistants!! ( :

There is a website called inspi.re which is a free photo competition website that has continuous themes and competitions in various communities… I use it all the time to get ideas for work. For instance, this image was used in a competition in the black and white community that had to be very graphic, and the other version was used to a ‘cutlery’ themed comp in another community… so, the themes are the starting point for me and I look for ideas from there ( : (that was a long answer, huh?)
