I love the way you seem to look for unusual perspectives and angles for your portraits.
I also like how your lighting covers such a wide range between highlight and shadow without losing detail even in the extremes. And there’s so many shapes and textures that you’ve used your lighting to accentuate, but managed to keep them subtle… encouraging me to seek them out.
I find it hard to believe you’ve only been shooting seriously for a couple of months judging by the quality and originality of your portfolio. Almost as hard to believe as that you’ve got NINE kids.
You are definitely a worker of miracles, and will probably end up a saint.
Nice work!

Ah, thank you! 2 months ago I stumbled across the website inspi.re, with its photo competitions and quickly became addicted… before that I don’t think I knew what a low key image was! Or high key, for that matter. Through inspi.re I was introduced to redbubble – how wonderful! There is nothing like seeing other people produce amazing work on a daily basis to improve your own! I feel like a whole new chapter of my life just started… ( :

Great shot. ...Low key? High key? What are they?
micklyn replied
Lol.. I had to google them, myself… along with “bokeh”! Low key would be lots of black and dark tones with possibly rim or back lighting, high key the opposite – lots of white, all colours or tones mostly above mid-gray, often in black and white. This one would be low key. ( : Thank you for your comment!
