Very lovely detail here ! Super shot !

Its like looking at a painting in a Venice gallery. One looks at the main subject and sees the perfectly focused leaf and water droplets.
One looks at the defocused leaf which is not directly behind it as most photographers would do (better this way).
One looks at the deep red top left and sees an even more defocused leaf – just a hint of it with its colour.
Finally one looks at the framing with the POINTS of the leaf being a nice distance from the edge of frame. If someone wants to know how to compose a photo – LOOK NO FURTHER.

Gorgeous! And amazing. I have always found them difficult to photograph. Not that I’ll be seeing any where I live now (northern Illinois) – wrong climate, much too cold here in the winter. Sure used to love them back in California, though! This is stunning!

Aw… thanks, Micklyn. But now these are shots I took yesterday and haven’t done more than glance at them. Maybe I’ll fool around with them in photoshop and see if I can jazz them up a bit. They’re just boring. I appreciate your sweet comments about my other leaves, though. Cheers!
