Minton Farm is a South Australian Native Animal Rescue Centre which began in 1992 and has rescued, housed and released thousands of orphaned, injured and unwanted birds and animals.
The aim is to rehabilitate and release the rescues as soon as possible into their territories with the best interests of the species in mind.
The Centre operates solely on donations, volunteer input and community goodwill. Ongoing support is vital to the success and continuation of the Centre’s important environmental work.
Bev Langley presently cares for over 300 permanent residents, which includes koalas, kangaroos, wombats, possums, bettongs, emus, deer, many varieties of birds inc an eagle and other birds of prey, and also animals such as a donkey, pony, llama, sheep, pigs and lizards. Plus of course the injured and unwanted animals that come in on a daily basis.
