There was nothing to be done,
As the day left with the setting sun,
His life had been a short one,
Soon he would be gone.
The vigil was angel watched,
A glow rippled all about,
He saw her beauty when she touched,
Saying “It’s time” as his soul let out.
A nice use of tone, it gives a nice contrast between the white flowing strands of the woman’s clothes and the dark sadness of the room. It reminds me of an Angel come to take one of God’s children back home after a tiring journey. Makes me feel both sad and comforted at the same time. Good work
