i these are hard as hell to capture. been there frustrated many times. love the neon blue against the green. i think its a damselfly though. i just looked it up and its a Rambur’s Forktail damsel. the yellow underside is the giveaway. beautiful capture. superb detail. excellent soft BG to make “her” (its a female) stand out. bravo.

Thanks JK – I’ll go and make that title change now. I hear your pain. I’ve been trying to capture a picture of one of these for ages. I sat very still in the hot sun in the cactus section of the botanic gardens and suddenly ‘she’ appeared – I couldn’t believe it.
