Artist's Description

This is a female Papilio aegeus aegeus or Donovan Orchard Butterfly which is found throughout much of Queensland and other Australian states it is visiting our Geisha Girl (Duranta repens) blossoms. Before it tranformed into this beautiful creature, it was a grub that nibbled on the lime tree leaves shown in the photo.
