    What a lovely dog and how well drawn it is too. I’d love to be able to use pastels but I wouldn’t know where to start. I admire your skill.

    Thankyou! I find pastels are easier than colour pencils – just lay your darks down first and build your highlights on top. With velour paper like this you don’t have to blend, but on other papers you can. The support you use makes a huge difference, art spectrum colourfix is awesome but I don’t have any luck with smooth surfaces like Canson.
