Thanks Craig, I was so pleased when we got home and I could see this on my big screen (we spent a week in Denmark and I only had an old laptop to download my daily photos).
The experience of being there at dusk was abolutely mind blowing. More so because it was my hubby who was keen to see the windfarm, and I was kind of like “yeah whatever, their just big windmills”.
But the power and the incredible sound was just so awesome, standing at the bottom and looking up at the blades – between the vertigo created by the movement and the cone of sound created by the blades, the experience was just out of this world, and I am so glad that I caught a few great shots that capture the power of the place.

VBS Yeah …. I was the same :) So much so I visited several times :) I actually LOVED the road from the Jail to the farm … and getting glimpses of the fans through the hills as you rounded the bends etc. I only ever really get to stay down south for a couple of days so last time I stayed in Albany … did the whole Denmark trek though. Was a little disappointed with the Valley of the Giants … would much rather just be out in the forests alone I guess, but it’s a great idea (the tree top walk) :) I spent one evening after being at the wind farm, down on the beach there. Those steps were WOW!! But I tell you, making that long trip down to the beach and staying there for an hour and watching the sun set over the bay was inspiring. LMAO, the trip back UP those stairs in the dark was a completely different story ;)

A real beauty Michelle and this is one of our favourite parts of our state. In spring the whole area here is ablaze with the colours of thousands of wildflowers and the view down to Sand Patch beach is out of this world. The very first time we came here was long before the windfarm was established and there was just a very rough track to a parking area. The steps were there, but no boardwalk. Boy was it tough!! Nowadays this is high on our list of must visit places whenever we go down that way, as is Stony Hill a little further on towards the Whaling Station. A wonderful area, for sure. Great work. Peter
