So very beautiful, Abi’s sublime pose, looking so mature and beyond her years, head back, eyes closed, catching her facial features in such lovely way. Then her thick main of hair tumbling down to fill the remainder of the frame, creating a negative space to her face that’s not really negative at all (if that makes any sense). And what finishes this image off and makes it all work so well, your perfect crop, of course :) Haha…I love that this lovely pose was really about Abi being impatient with you (I had a similar experience when photographing my daughter Natalie) Amazing work Shell & Abi :)

She looks quite the diva captured in an unguarded moment in this pic.

Oh it looks even better on here! :) I love Abi’s pose in this, so sultry, but in control. The hair is perfect, it just flows and looks like there’s movement in it. I love that it was an unplanned shot too, that adds so much appeal to it for me. This actually brings to mind a mermaid. I’m not sure why exactly, but it has that calming sexy feeling about it. I really like this one Shellfish!

I’m back, and this time in search of something very special to feature in my little old group. This simply exudes class and sheer beauty. I dont care that Abi’s head back pose expression was really one of impatience at mom’s fiddling with the camera, it is truly one of my favourite Shelly Hiebert portarits. I wish there was a way of double or triple favouriting pics, maybe a star rating system could be suggested to rb, because this would get max points from me. :)

Well, you have a gazillion comments on this, but I have to add my own. Wonderful cropping and it just goes to show that sometimes our best photos are taken spur of the moment with no fussing on f stops and apertures and the rest of it! The ratio of hair to face is a really powerful part of this image.
