Darker, more sombre tone than the other diagonal piece – I like it very much as well :)

Good job! are you planning a whole series like this?

The nihilism of it – I am stunned by this image, Michal. It is a genuinely extraordinary painting. The disorientating composition, the red, flattening light… the unrelenting diagonals. But all I’m doing is describing it… what I can’t convey is what it describes…if that makes sense.

Fee: There is a posibility that I will do a whole series…if not now I will come back to it…thinking about landscape as well…

Painting needs to capture our world like one of those ‘aura’ cameras that profess to show the colours radiating off a person. I love those things. They take us into different dimensions. So painting must do this. We have to convey feelings, stories, time, truths, atmosphere.
Photography is so technical nowadays that paintings must convey technical brilliance, spirituality, the fourth, fifth and how many other dimensions… and a sixth sense!! ‘We have to be true to be good but also too good to be true’ (Michael Agnew, Aberdeen 1987)
Your work Michal shows the level needed and a painting like this suggests a great future for you and for Painting. Excellent work!!
