Hot Water Beach, Coromandel Peninsular, North Island, New Zealand.
Just after Sunrise with a good shadow still on this part of the beach. Allowing for a long enough shutter speed to capture the rushing waves.
This is the beach where at low tide you can dig yourself a spa pool.
Hot water travels up through vents in the sand. You only need to dig half a meter down to get hot water, then a bucket to fill with sea water when it gets to hot.
