Whale Island (Moutohora), North Island, New Zealand.

Night shot, about 5mins with a full moon.

This island is a remnant of a complex volcano which has eroded, leaving two peaks. Just looking at it you can tell it would of been at least twice the height.
A whaling station existed on the island during the 19th century, and it does sort of look like a whale.
Now days it’s a wildlife refuge.

Night shot, about 5mins with a full moon.
