Mitre Peak, Milford Sound, Fiordland National Park South Island, New Zealand. Sunset.
With the average rainfall being 182 days of the year, your lucky if you get a sunset at all. This is just another lucky day.
Milford Sound runs 15 kilometres inland from the Tasman Sea and is surrounded by sheer rock faces that rise 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) or more on either side. Lush rain forests cling precariously to these cliffs, while seals, penguins, and dolphins frequent the waters. It’s magical place this. Very hard to leave.
